T&T Electrical Contractors, Inc. was founded in April 1984 as a partnership between Tony Conaci, who previously owned Tony’s Electric, and Tom Beaudoin, his apprentice. In 1985, the company transitioned from a partnership to an S-Corporation and began operating as T&T Electrical Contractors, Inc. The business initially operated out of Tony’s home in Hartford, with one old van and focused mainly on residential and service work.

Growth & Expansion

Over the years, the business grew significantly, expanding from a single van to a fleet of more than 50 vehicles. T&T began taking on larger projects in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, working for both public and private clients. Today, the company employs over 85 field personnel, along with project managers, an estimating department, and departments for service and pre-fabrication.

Leadership Transition

In 2001, Tony retired due to a long-term illness, passing on the company presidency to Tom. Tony continued to be involved through his son, Frank Conaci, who joined the company in 1998 as Office Manager.
Tony passed away in 2010, but his legacy lives on through Frank, who celebrated his 25th anniversary with the company in 2023, and is now the Director HumanResources and Payroll.

In 2021, Tom began his succession plan by promoting Rob Pavel, a long-time employee, from Foreman to Vice President and Partner. Rob, who started as an apprentice in 2006, holds an E-1 Master Unlimited Electrical License.

Commitment to Training & Apprenticeships

T&T Electrical is dedicated to fostering the electrical trade through the Connecticut Apprentice Program and actively hires individuals interested in pursuing careers in the electrical field. As a graduate of A.I. Prince Regional Vocational Technical School, Tom remains committed to outreach efforts, offering apprenticeships to graduates of state technical schools. The company operates under the belief that “He who hath a trade, hath an estate.”
